Prague 6 is one of the largest urban districts of Prague in terms of its area and population. It is characterized by the combination of modern and historical architecture, and on its territory there are many key components of the transport infrastructure of Prague and the Republic, led by Vaclav Havel Airport.
For the Prague 6 City District Office, we have designed a new form of their main website, based on extensive user research. Prague 6 has decided to make its website properly and from years of abstruse and complex written information to create an intuitive and useful tool to solve many different needs. We managed to unite the unshared ideas and even contradictory demands of about two dozen officials and representatives.
We have done a complete redesign of the site with many stakeholders and target groups for the City District Office. The basis of the successful work was the management of communication and expectations at several levels. The result is a highly functional and accessible website based on understanding the needs of the user from the public, officials and politicians alike.
Highly functional and accessible website
Aligning stakeholder expectations
Creating new brand rules in web and app environments
We took care of the adjustment structures to accommodate the broad agenda of the Office. Newly more clearly separates the official content from the news and gives clear guidance on how and where to add new content. This will allow its clarity to be maintained for a long time.
One of the other tasks was to follow up on a new visual style from the ReDesign studio. And to specifically propose rules for the use of the new Prague 6 brand in the web and application environment. We got down to work and prepared advanced styleguide including examples of implementations of these rules on several existing projects.
The result is a subtle, functional, yet distinctive design. Functions are designed with respect to maximum accessibility and usability in solving everyday situations.
Satisfaction with the process is maximum, and with the result even greater. What Sherpas have designed is modern and I'm really proud of it.
